Project Description

Reenchantment, an independent hypnotic rock and metal solo project lead by multi-instrumentalist Victor Fisher, is seeking a strategic industry partner to co-produce and release an ambitious double album. Reenchantment: This is Victor’s main project.
Strange People in Pain: A collaboration with Drone Master Pater Shrouder (Aaron Schreiber).
Shroud of Delirium: Victor’s high school three piece band with Aaron Schreiber on bass and David Sommer on drums.

Stage Names

The Reverend of Despair: This was Victor’s stage name in Shroud of Delirium and what he called his solo project after Shroud of Delirium broke up. Eventually he settled on the name Reenchantment.
The Lord Reverend Wizard of Alchemical Despair: And more extreme version of the Reverend of Despair persona which satirizes people who have a bunch of titles of authority in their name.
Comrade Victor: A militant stage name Victor uses to reflect the seriousness of his artistic mission and which fits with the ideas discussed in “The War of Art” by Stephen Pressfield.
Pater Shrouder: Aaron Schreiber’s drone metal solo project, the name of which is based upon Shroud of Delirium.
Drone Master, Pater Shrouder: A more flashy version of the Pater Shrouder artist name.

Esoteric Symbolism

Shroud of Delirium: The shroud that seperates mankind from a higher state of spiritual awareness, and leads to a state of dissociation and insanity (delirium).
Pater Shrouder: The father who guides mankind to an awareness of the shroud over their perception.
Strange People in Pain: Those who have the awareness feel a sense of alienation from ordinary reality and society.
Comrade Victor: The archetypal spiritual warrior.
The Lord Reverend Wizard of Alchemical Despair: The shamanic figure who transmutes (alchemical) the darkness and ignorance (despair) into the light of awareness, and thus gains authority over the lower world of tradition (reverend), the middle world of reality (lord) and higher world of transcendance (wizard). He teaches us that despair is the precursor to greatness.
Reenchantment: The state liberation that comes from attaining a higher level of mystical awareness.

Here what the so-called Reverend of Despair (his real name is Victor Fisher and he’s from a band called Shroud of Delirium) wrote on Encyclopaedia Metallum to present this album: “I have been working on this new solo project due to the absence of my band. Although plagued by mediocre production (alternate: although blessed with obscure production) I thought this may interest some of you. It’s doom-based eclectic madness! 2006

Victor Fisher started playing guitar after discovering a treasure trove of classic rock CDs in his basement from bands like The Beatles, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Steppenwolf, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Rare Earth and Jefferson Airplane.
Victor had previously been a violin player in school orchestra with an interest in folk music, disco music and movie soundtracks.

2007

After getting into heavier bands such as Slayer, Metallica, Lamb of God, Melechesh, and Amon Amarth, Victor was inspired to discover what the heaviest possible music is. This lead to an intense interest in doom metal and black metal.
Victor participated in a short lived rock band called Lamp.
Victor started a band called Shroud of Delirium with David Sommer on drums. Aaron Schreiber became the bassist shortly afterwards by playing a middle eastern sounding scale that seemed very impressive at the time. The band mostly played doom metal songs with a black metal influence such as Follow the Light, The Ritual, and Hypnotics. They played live multiple times at at a hookah bar called Swingstate that is no longer in existence.

He is the founder of victorsarchive.com (archive), Reenchantment (band), and Paramusicology (label). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music and religion, and a certificate in web development.
